What do I actually get when I buy A Eye Captain?
Your personalized coaching engine (a private link, not a download — it always loads the latest version automatically), a Match Data template to fill in with your own league's results, a signed copy of the Terms & Conditions for your records, and one full year of access.

Do I need to enter my own data?
Yes — the engine doesn't come with any league data pre-loaded. You'll fill in the provided Match Data template with your own team's results and upload it. The coaching intelligence features won't produce meaningful output until you do, since everything is built from your actual match history.

What device should I use?
All three work, but they're not equal for every step:

• Laptop or an external monitor is the best experience overall, especially when you're actually populating the Match Data spreadsheet — more screen space just makes data entry faster and less fiddly.
• A tablet is the next best option — plenty of room for both data entry and using the engine itself.
• A phone works completely fine too, especially for using the engine during an actual match (landscape mode in your browser gives the best view) — it's just a smaller canvas if you're the one typing in a full season's worth of results.

Bottom line: nothing is restricted to any particular device, but if you're the one populating the spreadsheet, a bigger screen makes that part of the process smoother.

What browsers are supported?
Chrome or Safari, on any device — desktop or mobile.

Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, specifically whenever you upload or re-upload your Match Data file — your player ratings are calculated live each time, so this step won't work offline. Once your data's loaded, browsing between tabs during a match works normally.

Can I use it on multiple devices?
Yes — your license isn't tied to a single device or browser, it's tied to your personal link. You can open it wherever you need to.

What leagues does this work with?
Any handicapped, points-per-match team league where skill levels are assigned on a numeric scale — it's not built around any one specific league format.

How do I update my data as the season goes on?
Add new rows to your Match Data template and re-upload it into the engine any time. Keep the column headers exactly as provided, since the engine checks for those exact names.

How long does my license last?
One year from the date of purchase.

What happens when it's about to expire?
You'll see an in-app reminder starting 14 days before your expiration date, with a direct link to renew.

Does renewing change my link?
No — renewing extends your existing license under the same link, so nothing changes on your end except your new expiration date.

Do you store my match data?
No, not permanently. Certain calculations — including your player ratings — run through a secure connection to generate results within your session, but that data isn't retained afterward. Your actual source file stays on your own device.

What information do you keep on file?
Just what's needed for license delivery and support: your name, email, and order ID.

Can I get a refund?
If you're not satisfied, reach out to aeyecaptains@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as you haven't made meaningful use of the engine yet. Reaching out after that window, or after real use, is still worth doing — we'll just look at it case-by-case.
